Technology for professional audiovisual installations
A professional audiovisual installation combines several technical layers that are designed together. On one side, the audio systems — loudspeakers, amplification, processing and public address — and the video side: professional displays, video walls, LED screens and projection. On the other, the infrastructure that supports them: signal distribution, cabling, connectivity and, increasingly often, AV over IP to carry audio and video across the same network as the rest of the building.
To those layers are added control and automation — touch panels, room management and scene programming — and the videoconferencing and collaboration systems that today form part of almost any meeting room. Audiovisual integration is precisely the work of making all of it function as a coherent whole; fixed installations describe the permanent character of the deployment as opposed to temporary rigs, and audiovisual services cover the execution, commissioning and subsequent maintenance of each audiovisual system.
