TRAINING

Audiovisual Courses

Audiovisual courses train the people who will be behind a camera, a video mixer or an AV installation: production, vision mixing, signal, projection and systems. This Instalia section collects training news from that field, with the course openings and programmes of the schools and technical centres that deliver it. It should not be confused with Audiovisual Production, which is the editorial hub for the industry and its projects, nor with Training and Seminars, which gathers all the sector’s training provision without distinguishing by speciality.

Training for audiovisual production and technology

Audiovisual training divides between two worlds that end up meeting. On one side, the storytelling: script, planning, shooting, multi-camera vision mixing, editing and post-production, with colour and sound as phases with judgement of their own. On the other, the technical craft: formats and codecs, workflows with heavy files, signal transport over SDI or over IP, matrices and scalers, projection and LED screen, and the control that governs all of it in a room.

Programmes are distinguished less by the syllabus than by the test bench: a studio floor, a gallery or a fully equipped room teach things you do not learn on paper. From there each role specialises — vision mixing, camera operation, systems integration — without losing sight of the rest of the chain. Coverage of the industry is in Audiovisual Production, and the rest of the training provision in Training and Seminars.
